Answer: Generally no, although if you have poisoning from methyl alcohol, everyday alcohol/booze is a very significant treatment since it keeps the body from metabolizing methy alcohol instead (which can be fatal), until the methyl can be eliminate from the body.
Using normal alcohol for explicitly a rare treatment (sometimes it's used for aspartame poisoning), so that might count as alternative prescription.
As I said before though, self medicating next to alcohol is not a good opinion. It isn't really alternative medicine any since it's used by most of the population. Although at the same time, doctors don't use it, so possibly it does fit one definition of alternative medicine.

it does more harm than righteous, so no i would not consider it any type of medicine. yes surely. i m using alternative medication from last ten years and didn't munch through any tablet.
