What is pectin within cough drops?
i was looking at the rear legs of halls cough drops, and it said influential ingredient: pectin. so, what is it? thanks.

It would not be listed as an "busy ingredient" in any cough drop. Most adjectives of them, including Hall's, use menthol. Eucalyptus is also a proven cough suppressant. Pectin would be listed as an "deskbound ingredient." However, I've checked every Hall's product I could find (see below) and didn't find pectin listed at adjectives. Are you sure about the brand?
