Rise within blood sugar and cholesterol... soothing crisis?

my mom called me this morning to tell me about a problem she is have. recently she has been on a really great detox diet and be eating all whole grain, veggies and lots of fruit. (which is a lot different that what is normally consumed) and she also quit smoking. buuutttt.... she went to the doctor and her bloodwork be terrible. high blood sugar and high cholesteral. she have had problems with all this formerly and has been on meds for it. i though it might be a healing crisis? possibly a food trigger? i dont know. any ideas?
Answers:
She is doing the detox because of her sooner bad habits with food. She have to stop eating as much sugar and foods with cholesterol until her levels are commonplace again.
It sounds like it might be a healing crisis... the body is trying to purge excessive cast-offs (eg Cholesterol) because it is getting good nutrition and fiber content, which is perfectly normal. It sometimes take a few days to adjust and get all of it out of the system, so if the blood test be within a few days of starting the cleanse, I wouldn't be surprised. However, if it was a week or two after the cleanse started, there may be other things going on and they may want to look closer (or at most minuscule make sure she's not "cheating" and eating other foods, especially if it was a fast blood test).
Although it is possible it might be an allergic reaction, I haven't heard of an allergy causing a spike surrounded by Cholesterol or blood sugar... that would be very abnormal. Good luck and I hope I helped! Source(s): Health/nutrition classes and personal research
You didn't say how long your mom has be on her detox diet other than "recently", which I take to mean a to a certain extent short period of time. Like Rome, an unhealthy body is not built overnight and her problems are likely the result of years of drinking and living less than optimally. Also like Rome, building a healthy body and getting rid of toxins, elevated cholesterol and high blood sugar will not happen overnight either.

There are no indisputable "food triggers" for sudden onsets of high cholesterol or high blood sugar, at most minuscule not the kind you mention in her new vigour diet. Likewise, a healing crisis would not likely involve either or the two, although I suppose that at hand could be some additional cholesterol that is being detached from arterial buildup. Certainly detoxing and intake and living more healthily can result in some initial healing crisis "Herxheimer" type effects, so she may expect to feel worse at times previously she ultimately feels much better.

By all means she should verbs with her new plan, Since there may be some supplementary toxic load on what is likely an impaired liver (due to her previous habits), it would also be a vastly good idea to cleanse the liver and take secondary steps to make sure that the bile duct is open and flowing as well as steps to help out protect and regenerate the liver.

Here are some suggestions for the liver:

* Use a gentile liver cleanse product at least once a month and even consider a more comprehensive liver cleanse.
* Coffee enemas - help open the bile ducts so bile and toxins can be released properly.
* Coconut grease - a wonderful item everyone should take, it helps maintain a well-mannered bile flow.
* Beetroot juice - is also good for the liver and bile flow.
* Turmeric - helps regulate bile flow, and is a upright cancer preventative for those who smoke or have smoked in the past.
* Milk thistle - is a must as it help protect the liver and actually regenerate it
* Alpha lipoic acid - another good liver supplement
* Selenium - a third liver supplement that be used along with milk thistl and alpha-lipoic acid in the Berkson Clinical Study to comfort reverse and repair severe liver damage.

(In the Berkson Clinical Study, three women who were facing liver transplants or chemo with interferon (a horrendous treatment near very low success rates for hepatitis and cirhossis), took milk thistle, alpha lipoic acid and selenium, modified their diets a bit and get some daily exercise and restored their liver functions to normal.)

For the high blood sugar, narrate your mom to read the ingredients labels carefully on the whole crumb products. A lot of them still contain bleached flour, which quickly converts to sugar in the body. Initially it might be a good impression to cut back a bit on the fruits and go with more vegetables.

When it comes to both veggies and fruits, mostly lightly cooked, mostly organic is by far the best way to go. Second best would be llightly steamed. While fresh beat frozen, frozen and dried beats canned (at least can products on the grocers shelves). Even so, canned veggies and fruits stil beat junk and swift foods by a wide margin.

Cayenne pepper - which can be obtained as a tincture - both lowers blood sugar as powerfully as lowers bad cholesterol levels.

GTF chromium is an essential supplement to take for helping lower blood sugar.

Your mom can find other items which lower blood sugar and which may be of benefit to her here (regardless of whether or not she is diabetic or pre-diabetic):

Whatever your mom does, tell her to stay away from cholesterol drugs at all costs! They are purely evil.

Here are some other natural items which should support with the cholesterol concerns:

* Sure gel apple or grapefruit pectin (jam & jelly stiffener). Take one heaping teaspoon in a cup of hot hose down nightly before bed. Two acids in the Sure gel help dissolve cholesterol deposits within the blood vessels. In about a month or less, the unpromising cholesterol should be much lower, and as a side affect, any heavy metals (generally, industrial toxins) should be flushed from your system. Sure gel Grapefruit pectin is 100 times stronger, but tastes awful and oxidizes and interferes with frequent medications.
* Vinegar, apple juice and white grape juice. Mix 1 to 2 cup of apple cider vinegar, four cups of apple liquid and three cups of white grape juice. Drink six ounces every day before breakfast. Used particularly effectively by Pennsylvania Amish families.
* Garlic. Is cholesterol’s natural enemy. Eat three cloves day after day to lower blood pressure, build immune system and guard against cancer.

* Onion liquid reduces cholesterol and works as a tonic for nervous system. It cleans blood, helps digestive system, cures insomnia and regulates the heart exploit & helps in lowering cholesterol.
* Sunflower seeds contain a substantial amount of linoleic sharp which is helpful in reducing cholesterol deposits on the walls of the arteries. Substituting oil of sunflower seed for some of the solid fats like butter & cream will, therefore organize to a great improvement in health & lower cholesterol.
* Other well brought-up foods to help lower cholesterol: Flaxseeds, soy (due to concerns about unfermented soy products increasing the risk for certain cancer, use only fermented soy products such as miso and tempeh), lentils, beans, salmon, avocado, spinach and other dark green leafy vegetables, margarine with no trans-fats or hydrogenated ingredients, other nuts, brown chocolate, whole wheat and other grains.
* Omega 3 oils such as fish, borage and flax grease. Lower bad cholesterol and raise the good cholesterol level.

Find a opening to be physically active each day, if solely for a brisk walk, bike ride or 15-30 minute light workout. Source(s): I am a natural vigour author, advocate and researcher.
It takes time. She ate and smoked unhealthy things for many years. It doesn't exchange overnight or even with a few weeks. Your body takes time to heal itself.
