what does this mean??

is there any way that instead of lowering my testosterone, its really increasing my testosterone??
Answers:
Stop taking saw palmetto.
Buy a high frequency machine, it will dry the acne and clear it up resembling nothing else. Many spas use them during facials.
Sure it could do that...make acne worse...
In females, testosterone is converted into estrogen (SURPRISE!)...so while it blocks DHT production, it channel all those metabolites into estrogen metabolites...and assorted other girlie hormones (by effecting sex binding globulin...) Its a long story, but thats the short way to explain it...
If you keep taking it, you are expected to see increased PMS symptoms too...especially swelling of the breasts, water retention, cramping and heavy bleeding.
I'd stop taking it.
Edit: Lasers and Retin A. After nearly 20 years of trying everything -and I do mean everything - else, thats what finally worked for me...simply saying. I know the frustration.
Try benevolently cleansing your liver with herbs such as burdock root or dandelion root. Its best when you make your own tea out of the dried root. Make a decoction, which is where on earth you *simmer* the root in water for 20 minutes. 1 tsp of herb per cup of water. Then strain it out, permit it cool, and drink it. :)
(Also, gross, but make sure you have a bowel movement every day, otherwise toxins surrounded by general can build up in your system...and that's not good for you or your acne-free obverse.)
Oh, and yeah, I'd stop using saw palmetto. Its not specifically for "acne" exactly, and its more for guys to balance their hormones. For girls' hormones, raspberry leaf, strawberry leaf, oatstraw, alfalfa, those kind of things might do you better. (Some of those aren't hormone balancing-specific either, some provide your body with certain nutrients to allow your body to harmonize in general.)
tea tree oil helps next to acne
