You reckon Vitamin D intake is a biddable opening to prevent conditions approaching swine flu ? "D" is available contained by drugstore.?
Maybe I have not looked enough but I do not remember seeing the vitamin on drugstore shelves.
Answers:
swine flu is a virus. at hand is no relationship between a viral infection and vitamin D. it is available. multivitamins have D in them.
Vitamin D plays a role in the immune system - but not "short term" imperviousness that would impact your defenses against germs - rather, the "long term" immunity that helps your body certify certain "bad copies" of you own cells (in other words, solid types of cancer).
Reducing stress, getting regular sleep, and eating lots of fruits and vegetables are your best bet for increasing short term immunity (and after there are the defensive maneuvers - washing your hand often, and never, ever touching your face during cold/flu season)
Vitamin D is available at many drug stores...and unquestionably every health food store I have ever been within...
Attached is a knit to a scientific paper on the potential role of Vitamin D in the prevention of seasonal influenza epidemics. It is published contained by the medical journal "Epidemiology and Infection". The authors are some of the top Vitamin D researchers in the world (Vieth at the Univ. of Toronto, Holick at Boston Univ., and Giovannucci at Harvard).
They conclude that paucity of Vitamin D may be the stimulus for seasonal flu epidemics.

Note: The immune system requires many micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) for optimum function. It is important to understand that "nutrients work surrounded by harmony". Therefore, you want to be sure you have an optimum level of all decisive nutrients to reduce your risks for infections. Below is a link to a review paper on this issue.

Finally, medical research indicates that micronutrients such as Vitamin E, zinc and selenium play critical roles within preventing the conversion of mild viruses to virulent forms once these mild forms are present in the host (e.g. humans). So, YOUR nutritional status can determine the virulence of the virus AFTER you are infected with it!

I hope you find this irrefutable sourced information helpful.
Best wishes and good luck.
Sun light is the best source of vit D.Cod Liver grease is the next best source.Cheap drug store vitamins are not good.Get from a heath food store on on-line herb shop.To much is toxic,so if out contained by the sun a lot,you don`t need it.Only in winter.
Swine flu is indeed a virus.
Although, the state of your bodies immune system will determine how well you fight that virus. Vitamin D does not play a major role within immune defense, but vitamin C does along with B vitamins. I hope this helps! Good luck! Source(s): Experience, nursing classes.
