I hate taking medication b/c I'm majoring within architecture and although it helps me focus, it sort of dulls my personality making it difficult to think creatively.
I'm hoping in attendance are vitamins, supplements, etc that can help improve my memory and focus so I can focus on my work, but still ave my personality intact so I can do my work more densely.

I've heard that Ginko Biloba is appropriate for improving memory. There are also other supplements that could help, however you may want to speak to a health professional. Start at a form and nutrition store and then do some research on what you find out. When you have more information talk to your doctor in the region of any possible side effects and if it is safe for you to combine your medicine and take the supplements simultaneously. gingko supplements is a good suggestion. another thing you might consider is how much media you are exposed to. conceivably you should cut back on music, television, and internet usage. studies have suggested that the process we shift from topic to topic, from scene to scene, so quickly, shifting our attention over and over every minute can contribute to loss of attention span and ADHD. it may seem hard at first to cut pay for, but it really helps. also, if you learn some meditation techniques too that will increase your focus because it is a kind of mental exercise.
Bacopa monniera is a traditional pills for this, with thousands of years of documented history of use and much modern science to back it.
Good sleep and disciplined mental excercise (crossword puzzles, sudoku, chess, etc) might do more, and have a more stable effect, than any sort of supplement or medication.

start taking fish oil in the 3000 to 6000 mg range.
I once read a book on this and the man back up that there were actual changes contained by the brain in addition to behavior by using pet scans.
for instance, one grip he mentioned was a schizophrenia who was taught to hit a bottom when he be having a hallucination. from this they were competent by having he do this doing a pet scan see which area of the brain was "lite up" when this be happening. After a while on the fish oil, he started losing all the traits of schizophenia and later they redid the pet scan and it showed the previous area of the brain that was not run of the mill now completely looked normal demonstrating the actual changes within the brain that caused the change in the disease and behavior.
It said fish grease in high doses worked successfully for a wide array of brain problems including schizophrenia, bi polar, depression, anxiety, add, agoraphobia, dyslexia etc
In addition to the supplements, decrease omega 6 fat (the average american get 7-15 times more omega six than omega 3 when they should be equal amounts of both. also take foods high within omega three fats..most seafood has some but the highest sources are fresh (wild caught not dairy farm raised) or canned salmon, mackerel, herring and sardines. Land sources are few--flax seeds, flax seed oil, purslane and raw walnuts.
People with add tend to be significantly creative. I recommend you read the book brainstorms. It is informative. some of the famous people with these stormy brains (add) be Einstein, ben franklin, jfk, amelia earhart, thomas edision, and some famous artist (forgot name)..people with it roughly are smarter than normal.
to help memory, take life ginkgo biloba tincture (not capsules) herbpharm is a good brand. If you take it with cayenne (the hotter the better) you will enhance it working. They give it to senile people in one study and it helped something approaching 35% of the people but when they added cayeene, it improved the memory and the functioning/cognitive functioning of like 95%..this is because cayenne is a catalyst herb which make everything you take it with work better and it gets the nutrients, oxygen and herb to the organ you are taking the supplement for and removes the waste better.
Another good formula is by herbdoc.com it is called brain formula and have in addition to ginkgo, other brain herbs approaching kola nut, rosemary etc.
In addition do things like puzzles, word searches, read plentifully and do things to stimulate your brain...studies showed that rats who live in a rat "disneyland" outperformed rats in a plain cage contained by running and figuring out mazes. Working your brain improves memory..memorize things habitually.
Also learn how to use mnemonics to enhance your chances of remembering things. Source(s): edit I appreciate andrew describing us about Bacopa monniera I never heard of that herb and it sounds excellent for this prupose, Be sure to only use life or wildcrafted as it contains 7-10 times the pytochemicals that cure and prevent disease. do not take it in capsule form which is the worst approach to take herbs due to their poor absortion. the bes tway to take an herb is contained by the form of a tincture which goes directly to the bloodstream bypassing digestion. If you can'ty find a tincture of Bacopa monniera buy it in the bulkk herb section of strength food tore or online and make your own ticutre which is easy.
