Is Barlean's Highest Lignan Flax Oil still potent after one unrefrigerated for one week?

I bought it online from a store on the opposite coast. It took a week to get here. They had it within a cold pack, but those don't last long. What should I do with it?
Answers:
Yes, it's just fine. As long as it be sealed during that time, it wouldn't hurt it enough to worry around it. The worst thing that would impact Flax Oil is if it's opened and exposed to oxygen... that's when it goes rancid over time. As long as the grease isn't exposed to oxygen, it can't spoil as easily and would take months if not years of self unrefrigerated to be useless.
Aside from that fact, the manufacturers would be stupid to ship them during the summer if they would go desperate or become useless during the few days of shipping... like you said, the cold packs only later so long. If they had customers getting sick or not getting the benefits, they would lose a lot of customers and it would be better for them not to ship them if it were a problem. Fortunately, I've done the research on this to know that the manufacturer have studied things like shipping during the summer and even in extreme steam levels, it would be a negligible difference as long as it isn't opened.
Good luck and I hope I help! Source(s): Personal research in my role as a Product Specialist for a vitamin company
