Heat wreck to herb during shipment?
They say heat damages herbal supplements. I'm wondering, if you order online, wouldn't a box of capsule and tablets traveling in a hot metal truck for two days significantly reduce the potency and effectiveness of them? Is it better to stock up during the cooler season and forget about summer delivery shopping?
Answers:
It depends what you are ordering. If you are order an herb supplement that has to be kept between a certain temperature (such as underneath 80 degrees) and you live in a hot weather climate, then no, you shouldn't order the supplements surrounded by the summer time. However, many times, supplements have high boil ratings, that won't be affected by the heat, in a closed, muddy, sealed package (which helps to protect their potency). It really depends on what herb you are ordering.
