Can anyone honestly say-so that taking a course of Yakult have be impressive?

and left them feeling fresher, sharper, more energetic etc etc? I tried it for a week and it made no difference

It's the standard scam marketing: "try it for a week or two and be aware of the difference!"

If everyone tried it for a week or two, then never took it again, imagine how much money that company would make!

Yeah. It is a scam.
We have it here in Japan, and it is basically a yogurt company. Nothing to capture excited about. Truthfully, it might make you more healthy. That is the truth, because it is in shape safe stuff and would be best if it replaced coca cola or McDonald's in your diet. I must emphasize that. For the average American it might organize to a healthier lifestyle, and it is DEFINITELY not harmful to you, but it is not the stuff of miracles.

If the claim is that it is going to change your natural life, well, all by itself, it is insufficient to do that. If the claim is that the average person who does Yakult is well again than the average person, that might also be true. If it is inexpensive, try it another week. If it is expensive, forget it. Eat celery, drink orange juice, and get through a cup of yogurt a day. It will probably be just as good for you.
Well, it seem to be a good Probiotic drink (similar to a yogurt drink) according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yakult but I wouldn't say Probiotics would make you touch fresher, sharper, or more energetic.
Probiotics are the beneficial bacteria that live in your intestinal tract and help out your body absorb nutrients in your intestines, so they help next to regularity.
After a few weeks, most people feel more regular, which is more of a relieved feeling so they may surface more fresh by comparison... but I haven't heard it said that way.
If you are really constipated, it can make you discern sluggish... being more regular helps prevent constipation, but doesn't forcibly remove it. You could say it help you be more energetic compared to the constipated state, but it's not a quick shift and is so gradual, most people wouldn't even realize that until it's pointed out.

In other words, you probably won't be aware of anything major or drastic from Probiotics aside from more regularity (less constipation and runs, but more in between more often)... the rest of it would be "feeling better" compared to intuition bad if that makes any sense. I've been taking Probiotics for former times few years and I feel much better on them than I felt when I was constipated... but it wasn't a quickly change or an automatic switch that was easy to surface a huge difference.
If it's as expensive as the other yogurt drinks on the market, it would probably be cheaper and more effective to buy a Probiotic supplement (which would likely own many more organisms and more strains of Probiotics than Yakult) and just take 1 pill a sunshine for the same effect.
