An antioxidant is any type of molecule that slows or stops the oxidation of other molecules. Oxidation is a process that can twist living cells in your body's tissues and organs. Scientists are still studying the effects of antioxidants within the treatments of diseases, but it is not yet known how immense a role oxidation plays. However, in clinical trials, antioxidant supplements did not show enough of an effect to prove they work at adjectives.
Some examples of antioxidants are glutathione, vitamins such as vitamin A and E, as well as the enzymes super-oxide diastase and catalase. Poly-phenols are another category of antioxidants.
The best way to procure enough antioxidants to experience their benefits is to eat a broad variety of fruits and vegetables. The naturally occurring combinations of these antioxidants may be the switch to unlocking their potential.
So-called "super fruits" and "super-juices" such as goji berries and other exotic, expensive products, have not been shown to hold any more antioxidant chemicals than the humble apple. Green tea has also been shown to own a high amount of some antioxidants, but green tea supplements have not be shown to have any real condition benefits..
Antioxidants are present in foods as vitamins, minerals, carotenoids, and polyphenols, among others. Many antioxidants are often identified within food by their distinctive colors—the deep red of cherries and of tomatoes; the orange of carrot; the yellow of corn, mangos, and saffron; and the blue-purple of blueberries, blackberries, and grapes. The most well-known components of food next to antioxidant activities are vitamins A, C, and E; β-carotene; the mineral selenium; and more recently, the compound lycopene.
Good process to improve and maintain your vigour!
