Can anybody tell me about the effects of mangosteen?
I've looked up information on the fruit and I usually procure 1 of 2 results.
1) Where it grows, how it tastes, what it looks like, how it's classified, etc.
2) That it's a miracle cure for things similar to cancer, and this information is almost always on a website selling some form of it (as a "health drink") usually.
Answer: Mangosteen is a fruit that grows surrounded by the tropics, like Thailand and the Philippines. It is almost round, with a purple-colored skin.
Mangosteen have Xanthone. and is said to be useful in cleansing the body of toxins (detoxifying element). In that sense. But nearby have been no clinical studies to prove that it cures cancer. At best, xanthone help in making the skin brighter.
