Can I take ginkgo biloba when pregnant?

Answer:    That's a BIG NO ! No herbs, just pre-natal vitamins while PG !.
If you be talking about the pill form, later no. It's too concentrated in dosage. Ginkgo Biloba is a type of nut/fruit with a frozen white shell. The flesh is yellow and the Chinese people put it contained by their desserts or soups sometimes. Pregnant Chinese women eat it too but as far as I know it's not advisable to have it too commonly as it is a YIN food (which has cooling properties.). This nut/fruit is still mild compared to the concentrated pill form. So it's better that you stop taking it. I personally would not thieve anything that is not regulated by the FDA while nursing or pregnant. There have be no major studies on the effects of herbs during pregnancy since it is not regulated by the FDA. Best item to do is contact you OB/GYN and ask them. Better safe than sorry. Good Luck!
