Could someone please provide evidence that drinking water beyond the minimum needed to prevent dehydration is.

Answer:    That's a 9 hour a week course on renal physiology in medical school (or a 500 page paper of reading). It's ummm, complicated. As for empirical evidence, there are several peer reviewed medical journals devoted to this exact topic.

However, if you doubt the existence of toxins, simply drink your own urine as your simply source of hydration for a few days. Seriously. You won't dehydrate because you are replacing most of the fluid in your body. You also won't live very long (and you will attain sick pretty damn quick). Why?
