My mother is currently on an intravenous drip. My interrogate is is she allowed to drink as normal or not?
Answer: That depends on what the reason is for the IV. An IV itself does not preclude taking oral hydration, but next to no explanation of the medical situation, no one here can possibly tell you whether it would be undisruptive or beneficial or not..
I would check with the health thinking provider, my husband was able to, but check first. you should check near the health care professional.
