Does ONION lessen scarring?
I hear Mederma (sold for scar lessening), has onion extract contained by it.
I have a mostly healed (no longer an begin wound), 10 day old blister on my foot from an oven element burn. The burn was on the outside of my foot between the thumb and first finger. It's a very visible place for a defect.
Last month I got a 3" X 2" bad bruise on my leg and put a slice of onion contained by cheescloth taped on top of the bruise overnight and surrounded by 4 days the bruise was gone!
If I put a slice of onion over the new pink mutilation will it lessen the scarring? Since it helped the bruise... will it help my foot burn-wound from scarring?
Answer: I don't know about onions but pure lavender oil will treat burns. don't get into your eyes It has help me a lot of of times.
I have hear that onion is good to reduce scarring but enjoy not tried it. It can't harm anything. I'd try it and see.
