DXM (dextromethorphan) Question?
hey i have been on DXM for like 6 days straight in a minute using Robitussin which has DXM as an only active ingredient. Is this injurious, if so how? Please only serious answers. Thanks a lot.
Answers: Yes, it is very insalubrious, as is huffing household cleaners and trying to use anything around the house as a drug.

Oh, there's also other ingredients in Robitussin that can be more deadly when you take too much of them as well. Your body could take a long time to recuperate from that kind of damage... Dissociative-induced depression is another concern with DXM. There may be biological factor involved. The incidence rate may be as low as 5% or as high as 40%, depending on how you look at things. Paradoxically, some researchers suggest that dissociatives are actually antidepressants, but that, unlike those used in clinical practice, tolerance can build fast, leaving one with a rebound effect.
Other things to verbs about are hypertensive crises, serotonin syndrome, damage to the kidneys, liver, and pancreas, heart arrhythmias, antisocial behaviour, psychotic breaks, muscle degeneration, etc.
Also, DXM binges can be hell on the mind. It can whip awhile before your head is back to middle-of-the-road. Even though you may not feel high anymore, you can remain delusional for several days. My last pious DXM binge lasted 3 weeks, and it took a week before I could think straight. Some regular users hold reported a temporary but long-term impairment (up to three months) after discontinuing regular use of DXM.
