Haemochromatosis (Too much iron in mybody) would like to now if their is something to help take iron out?
of my body ie: resembling detox but natural like a herb.
Answer: you can't hurry up the removal process, but you can parameter your intake. A really effective way is to avoid taking within vitamin c with anything rich in iron, as most of the iron we consume requires reducing to a form that can be smoothly absorbed, and vit. c can act as a reucing agent.
Foods that containi iron include red meat, fish, poultry, lentils, beans, branch vegetables, tofu, chickpeas, black-eyed peas, potatoes with skin, bread made from completely whole-grain flour, molasses, teff and farina. The iron in meat will be more potential to be uptaken regardless of consuming vit. c anyway, so you may have to avoid it. hope this helps!.
My father have hemochromatosis and though he should limit his iron intake (not eat liver, red meat, etc.) he doesn't, so he get his blood drawn often. If you do have hemochromatosis, not taking concern of it can shorten your life, sometimes substantially. My father has be donating blood since he was 14 and the doctor said that that is what have kept him alive so long. Of course, giving blood will decrease the amount of iron in the blood stream. Sometimes, when he hasn't donated contained by a while, his blood is so thick it clogs the machines, and when he has an inexperienced technician, they don't toy with it well. Also, often he donates two pints instead of one, it help in the long term, but he feel pretty bad for a couple days. Hope this helps? It isn't an herb, but it's what i know works. :) Donate to the local blood ridge.
This is a genetic condition. Your condition is caused by your body's inability to handle the iron within your system. Herbs and detoxing won't help.
