Has any1 ever heard of vitamin B17? why arent these other vitamins in our stores? in our multivitamins?

Answer:    Laetrile, commonly known as Vitamin B-17 or Amygdalin, is a natural chemotherapeutic agent found contained by over 1,200 plants, particularly in the seed of common fruits such as apricots, peaches, plums, and apples. It is a diglucocide with a cyanide avant-garde that is highly "bio-accessible."

There is no federal decree against Laetrile, nor does Laetrile appear on an official list of proscribed items.

It is available contained by Mexico.
At the Mexican border, U.S. Customs has permitted the entry of amygdalin for private use without benefit of even an affidavit for over a decade. Amygdalin is an extract of apricot kernel, which makes it a food supplement and nothing more. Under FDA guidelines, however, any substance explicitly used to treat a disorder can be classified a drug. In the U.S., it appears as though the FDA has the authority to label ANYTHING a "fresh drug" when a claim is made for that substance or even suggestions given as to how to take it.

There's no such thing as B17. That's a fictitious designation to try to give a quack product some sense of legitimacy. It only fools the gullible.

Edit: NO. You are wrong going on for the "real" part. "Vitamins" are substances that are essential (vital) for life. Amygdalin is not one of those substances. Therefore, it is NOT a vitamin. That is why the designation "B17" is bogus. It be never accepted by the international authorities as a vitamin, it is simply a marketing ploy. The facts on the uselessness of amygdalin as a cancer cure were established 40 years ago..
I'm from Australia (are you within the us perhaps?) and you can still purchase them here. They may have be banned as they did not meet FDA requirements - which is a alfatoxin count of smaller number than 20 ppb.

The link below is an australian website that sells apricot seed (alfatoxin free).

Something interesting I read as well is that some people believe one of the cause for cancer is not having enough B17 within your diet and doctors recommend cancer sufferers increased levels of B17 in their diets..
probably duplicate reason why in other countries selling abiding vitamins are illegal. Why are healthy items becoming unendorsed to sell? I really want to know. I remember the FDA banning a confident Herb, which 153 people died while taking this herb. This herb was curing diseases as powerfully. And i was doing research that advil kills 2000 individuals a year. Yikes! I wonder why this drug is not banned! and what about also those med drugs that pharmacies bequeath out, around 250,000 people die each year taking these drugs, or so i hold read. Hmm...
