Has anyone used Turmeric?
It is supposed to hold many health benefits. Has anyone ever used it and if so, did you see or perceive any results? Also, is there a good path to take it? I was told to mix 1 tsp. next to warm water and drink it but it taste pretty horrible.
Answer: Yes, Turmeric is very good for Liver condition, Gastrointestinal health, and it's a very worthy antioxidant. We've got thousands of customers that use it on a regular basis for the form of their Liver among other things.
If you don't like curry, you'll probably hate the bite of it in general, and you'll probably want to stick next to capsules of it to prevent tasting it. Also, if you are buying Turmeric from the grocery store, you're not going to receive as much benefit as you would from a health food store or supplement company... grocery stores typically use a high warmness process on their herbs, and that removes most of the nutritional benefits from the herb (only leaving the spicy taste)..
I basically use it to add flavor to my rice. It works great. If you don't like the soft spot of Curry, then give yourself some time & eventually, the savour will be easier to accept. I couldn't imagine taking it by the teaspoon full...yeech! Fresh garlic is also immensely good for you along with the curry/tumeric. I buy the the Hot & Spicy miscellany from India. It's a bright golden yellow color & it stains your clothing permanently, so wear an apron when using. You can find lots turmeric based home-remedies here:
