Has Ginkgo Biloba actually been proven to enhance memory and concentration?
You find it adjectives over the place marketed as a memory enhancer.. etc. but there is other that little asterisk that says "these statements have not be approved by the FDA". So have any credible randomized control trials actually proved a mental benefit from Gingko Biloba?
Answer: The infinite majority of trials that showed that it have a mental benefit were funded by a company that sell it, which calls their credibility into question.
A study funded by the Institute for Aging within 2002 on patients over 60 years of age showed that there was no advance in memory from using it.
Other studies have shown an progress in healthy individuals, though the reorganization lasts for only a few hours. Also, chronic usage appears to induce a tolerance, and the affect disappears. Only singular, acute usage provides any benefit.
Many items that claim to contain the product use less than any of the studies that have shown an effect.
A hurried search of journal articles pulls up a long enumerate of professionally done studies involving gingko biloba. Most are irrelevant to the question at hand, and look at using the herb contained by the treatment of individuals with specific conditions, such as multiple sclerosis, alzheimer's, and dementia. Overall, they found no effect on improving these conditions (though I did not read adjectives of them).
It looks like research is ongoing and not fully conclusive..

The fact is Ginko have been proven to not only enhance memory and concentration but trial studies have shown it to do many benefits contained by the body; like cardio vascular support, cell growth and brain cell restore. nope, the only reputable studies hold found no effects.
