Herb equivalent to ritalin/aderoll.?
First stale Im sure I misspelled ritalin and aderoll, if you dont know what Im talking about, they're the prescription drugs for ADD, Ive hear aderoll is like ritalin on steroids. However, I would feel more comfortable using intuitive medicines like supplements or herb. My problem is I cant concentrate when Im reading, if Im watching a program on tv or the internet, Im fine then, but it will take me abour 3 to 5 minutes simply to read 1 page. Then when Im finally done with the book, I dont remember any of it.
The weird article is though, that if I watch it on tv or the computer, like for example how to fix a motor, or plant something, draw something, etc., I can do it, learn it, remember it, etc. Its when I read, that I dont remember anything at all, I constantly drift sour in my mind, wether Im interested in it or not.
But if within is something out there that will help me focus and concentrate and remember things, that would be awesome. Thanks for any relieve.
Answer: What you're really asking is if there are any herbs near stimulating effects. There was until a few years ago when they pulled Mao Huang off the shelves because it contained ephedrine.
Have you tried coffee or tea? Caffeine may sustain.
Your medications are WIDELY used (and abused), and are generally reputable as safe, are there any effects surrounded by particular you do not like? If not, and you freshly want to 'protect' yourself, I understand. Taking a pill that invigorates you such as the ADHD medications can be terrifying. I assure that they are safe and effective, though.
You may also want to look into cognitive and/or behavioral treatment. As your psychiatrist about it (you did get a prescription from a psychiatrist, right?
Marijuana will not support with focusing. It may slow it down a bit (I've seen ADHD kids big, and they seem more 'normal' to me too), but to say it help you focus is a misnomer. I know this from personal experience..
I'd go to a natural doctor and see what they reccommend. Being alert may mete out more retention of what you read. Peppermint causes an increase in alertness. I other take it before test..
Omega-3 Fish Oil is a natural mood stabilizer. I was recommended to hold it by an Eastern Medicine psychologist. At the time I was having issues beside anxiety and worries. They calmed my mind and put me at ease. Maybe they will help you too because possibly your mind is just wandering and that's why you can't focus. I take one gel medication a day. They are fairly cheap too. Also- if you're sick of taking pills you can carry this marmalade type stuff at local health food stores. I forgot what its called but it looks similar to a little ketchup package and they flavor it near orange extract so of course it doesn't fancy like fish. Its good to put on toast or sneak it into your cereal surrounded by the morning and mix it up- your body will never know! Only thing is, those boxes of the little packets are far more pricey consequently getting just a big jug of the capsule. Hope this helps! :) Wild yam for progesterone.
