How can I swot to properly meditate?

I really need to get a grip on my stress levels. Can anyone aid me out?
Answers:    My first experiences with meditations was almost forty years ago next to an excellent Yoga teacher who always closed the class with five or ten minutes of meditation.

I am presently a Reiki practitioner so "meditate" daily - sometimes 1/2 hour, sometimes up to 1 and 1/2 hours.
I have several CD's I like to use as guided mediation and also just for the music. Bronwen Steine is one of the founders of the International House of Reiki. I got a CD of hers "Reiki Meditations for Self-Healing" from Amazon. I think it be around $!5. It has about 20 meditations on two discs. You do NOT own to know Reiki or be attuned through a class to use it. I think it would give you a good start on meditation and be accommodating for reducing stress in your life. Each meditation is about 15 minutes surrounded by length.

The Session 2 disc explains the five major elements of Reiki. The first is the Five Precepts which Reiki practitioners use daily (or twice a day). Ms. Steine explains their interpretation. If you did nothing but use those day after day it would be helpful to you in your life.

There is a meditation using the blossoming of a lotus flower and enhancing your nouns to the earth energy and all vivacity around you. Another has you gather the energy from the ground and bring it into your heart and joining that beside the heavenly or spiritual energy of the universe and bringing that into your heart along with the dust energy etc.
