acupuncture not as a finishing resort but I know people have be transformed by this rather than take a couple of co-codomals !! As if, this anguish is like toothache. Any advice or education of acupuncture experience will make my day, honestly.

Answer:    Hi Camilla. I enjoy a lot of thoughts on this subject, so this response may be a bit long.

First, ignore "Doobie". He have stated his unscientific 'opinion' (he cites no scientific references) on acupuncture before on this site. Here are a few reference from the world's medical literature:

1) "Single point acupuncture in association with physiotherapy improve shoulder function and alleviates pain, compared with physiotherapy as the sole treatment."

2) "We verbs that limited evidence supports acupuncture use in treating pregnancy-related pelvic and posterior pain."

3) Many chronic health problems involve an interaction (crosstalk) between the immune system, the divergent nervous system (PNS) and the central fretful system (CNS). "This crosstalk from PNS to CNS is involved in the pathophysiology of many human diseases and may contribute to the effects of acupuncture."

Next, I would close to to discuss your 'diagnosis'. I am not sure what you mean by "fibrositis". This term does NOT copy a real diagnosis. Fibrositis merely means "inflammation of connective tissue". It doesn't say-so what connective tissue is inflamed, and most importantly, it doesn't explain what is CAUSING the apparent inflammation! So, it is NOT a diagnosis - it is a LABEL.

I am guessing that by Fibrositis you are referring to what is commonly labeled Fibromyalgia (or Fibromyalgia Syndrome - FMS). Again, this is a label given to a solid pattern of pain, but it is NOT a diagnosis because it does not establish the CAUSE of the spasm (4).

Lastly, it is important to appreciate that in lots cases no 'real diagnosis' (that is determination of underlying cause) can be made for patients with chronic pain; thus, the commonly applied sticky label of Fibrositis/Fibromyalgia. However, this diagnosis should not be used until all identifiable causes own been ruled out. These CAUSES include:

a) Lyme disease

b) Vitamin D deficiency (a adjectives condition and commonly misdiagnosed as FMS)

c) Other vitamin and mineral deficiencies (again, very adjectives with modern processed food diets)

d) Heavy metal toxicities (lead, mercury, cadmium, etc.)

e) Intestinal problems - e.g. leaky gut syndrome, bacterial dysbiosis, Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth, etc.

f) Food allergies

g) Celiac Disease

h) Dental problems - root canals, crowns, periodontal disease, and other dental issues that can organize to chronic infections in the bone called osteonecrosis (this problem may be much more adjectives than is generally recognized)

i) Spinal Intersegmental Dysfunction (spinal subluxations - especially in the cervical spine for shoulder problems)

j) Essential Fatty Acid imbalance in your diet.

Suggestions:

1) Find a good acupuncturist and afford acupuncture a reasonal trial

2) Find a good Chiropractor and give Chiropractic a average trial

3) Have a thorough evaluation of your diet, nutritional status, and gut health by a properly trained health diligence provider (Chiropractor, Naturopathic Physician, Certified Clinical Nutritionist, or medical doctor trained in Nutrition and/or Functional Medicine).

4) Educate yourself more thoroughly on this subject. A good place to start would be a wonderful book by Sherry Rogers, M.D. call: "Pain Free in 6 Weeks". She discusses in detail copious of the issues I have presented here. I highly recommend this book! You should be capable of get it through Amazon.com.

If you are still with me - Best wishes and polite luck..
There is overwhelming evidence that acupuncture is no better than placebo.

This is probably because it is based on bizarre, scientifically-improbable ideas.

Pain fluctuates, so if someone go for acupuncture and then in the subsequent few weeks their pain becomes smaller number they will assume acupuncture was responsible... whether it was or not.

They may even grain less pain because they expected to, or simply because of the nice agency they were treated by the acupuncturist.

But it's all element of the placebo effect..
I am assuming you have been told this is not a surgical crust.

Yes, acupuncture is wonderful. Enlightened doctors use it routinely. It has a proven physiological mechanism of feat, and has been proven surrounded by repeated clinical trials to work for releif of chronic pains..
my biological father used to do this and it is good as long as you don't have any allergies to metal unlike me this form of treatment would HURT worse than anything surrounded by the world
but I have also started drinking Mona Vie and that has help with a lot of my ache and pains tried all the things possible to help alleviate my problems . Some of them help, but only temporarily. It just get way too expensive and no real assist.. Just that it is very depressing to not have a totally strain free body. or at least a normal one.
best of luck.
I've never have acupuncture - but you go for it! I can't see that it will do any harm - hope it works and relieves your headache. go on
