Is nearby much difference between Adderall and Desoxyn?
I'm going to be seeing my psychiatrist in a couple of days and I am going to ask about being put on one of these drugs for my social anxiety seeing as how the SRRI is stopped. Also ever since she bumped up my dosage to 60mg of prozac I have had a huge increase in suicidal thoughts. Last time this happen it turned into psychosis with Celexa. So I have heard that using ADHD drugs can give support to with this and I'm wondering between the two is there much difference to what it does to you?
Answers: Wow. What a hard place to be surrounded by. I feel your anxiety.
SSRI's became "the darlings" of psychiatry back contained by the early 90's and have been so over prescribed and are cause so many problems with people, especially the increased anxiety and psychotic episodes that you hold experienced.
Many times a person is misdiagnosed because, if you review the various illnesses such as ADD/ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Bi-Polarism, PTSD; you will see that they have more contained by common than they do not.
And, even worse, many people hold hormonal or nutritional imbalances that mimic mental illness.
So it is REALLY important to label sure that you have been properly tested and diagnosed before you only keep switching pills to treat the various side effects that arise from the pills. This is usually best done by really, honestly and thoroughly looking at your moods, behaviors, attitudes, patterns, coping skills, etc when you be a teenager, BEFORE you were taking any drugs (street or prescribed) for this is when the body is challenged next to the mental emotional stresses of nearing adulthood and the physiological demands of maturing.
Here are some sites that offer some online trialling that perhaps you can take, print out, then bring to your Psyche MD to discuss fully. Remember to contemplate back to your teenage years when the questions ask in the order of the past.
Remember, nobody wants any type of mental health disorder diagnosis, but it is better to be properly diagnosed and treated than to be treated for something that you don't really own.

Hmm. Are you sure you're not bipolar? No family history? No trauma history? SSRIs used in a bipolar tolerant without a mood stabilizer, and sometimes with, can cause a manic state, which surrounded by its most severe incarnation can be psychotic. They can cause all sorts of strange intermediate mixed states and dysphoric manias as powerfully. Also, christ yes there is a difference. Desoxyn is so potent it's virtually never used except for the worst of the worst cases of ADHD and narcolepsy - the kind where they're roughly non-functional otherwise, and only used in extremely small doses. These drugs are also psychostimulants - you do not resort to these in a long-suffering with anxiety problems unless you're absolutely out of options. Stimulants form anxiety problems worse.
to put it in non medical mumbo jumbo...
Adderall has the chemical dextroamphetamine and makes you wired and competent to concentrate better. It can have harmful effects in elevated doses, it can lead to dependecy and addiction but it widely used to treat people with ADHD. I've taken adderall a few times and for me, it take anxiety away very well.
Desoxyn on the other hand is straight out meth, yeah methamphetamine, the horrible drug that's incredibly addicting and lead to many psychological problems, its rarely used and can be abused too easily.
I'd recommend adderall surrounded by small doses, i'm not your doctor but desoxyn seems too hardcore.
you can call a pharmacist and ask. it would be better than trying to learn online. Don't for get hold of to ask about the side affects of each. Wright down what you are told.
