Is it better to pinch tablets for a cold or continue it out?
Answers: Well otc medicine doesn't actually cure a cold, so you're going to have to live through it anyways. So you own a choice:
1. suffer through it with a stuffy nose, cough, headache, sniffles, etc.
2. take some pills and live through it with fewer symptoms.
Quite frankly, I don't see the point in using instinctive cold remedies in place of good old nyquil. There is no actual "cure" for the rhinovirus, so the merely way to get rid of cold is to let your immune system punch-up it on its own. My experience with natural remedies is that they don't work nearly as well as conventional medication. You're going to have the cold either way, and I would to some extent have a cold for 4 days, but not have many symptoms than simply have it for 3 days, but suffer eternally through the whole thing. (you can, as expected, take both at the same time).

Depends. If you take the OTC cold drug in order to remain active, in attendance is a good chance that you are going to make the cold finishing longer (because you aren't resting). On the other hand, if you use the meds to relieve your symptoms to get some rest you're doing yourself some good. There are also various herbal remedies that may reduce the length of your cold. My favorite is called "Gan Mao Ling" (literally "adjectives cold formula") and is available most places that sell Chinese Herbal remedies (check with your local acupuncturist). The herbs within there have been shown to enjoy both antiviral and antibacterial properties. I've used it with great results. Source(s): LMP and student of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine)

It's better to take medicine. It will solely treat the symptoms, but at least you can function while you are waiting to heal. There is good evidence that Zinc supplements, when taken at the rash signs of a cold help reduce recovery time. I use this near a C supplement, and it works pretty well for me. Could be just placebo effect, but who cares as long as it works. Is in that a medical drug specifically..
Dont hold tylenol, tylenol is used for pain/fever reducer not colds. At night before you go to bed, appropriate some Nyquil and when you wake up, eat breakfast and then filch some Dayquil. I usually take a little more than recomended that way i KNOW it will work and bear affect better. Just dont OD or at least you should know what your doing. And since its the weekend, just rest and chill today and tomorrow. When does Ex-lax ware past its sell-by..
I would just skulk it out.My personal philosophy is to just deal with it vs taking medicine/pain killer. IDK, I never really liked the idea of it.
