Ok, so all this week, I've had a horrible sore throat, and unable to sleep. I go to the doctor's office wednesday and they said they were giving me an antibiotic, didn't say what it would support or anything just sent me on my way. Well my mom was supposed to find it right after work but she was an hour late and i really don't know why, anyways i called her, crying from the misery, trying to yell at her with what little voice i had, and she said she would find the medicine to me as soon as possible, so i hung up on her from knowing what that means, so she called me again and said i didn't own strep, (i was supposed to get the answer by saturday or something) that it was freshly ibuprofen just more expensive and its my fault we are poor and yada yada (when i'm not the one who is on meds to stabalize my moods, smoking, and being an alcoholic! i expect i only needed this one bottle!) anyways, that i didn't have strep. well i be looking up amoxicillin, which is what they gave me, and it says its a medicine used to treat bacterial infections. So do I enjoy a bacterial infection or is it really just expensive pain relief?
Answers: Your Mom told you you didn't hold strep or the Drs. office did?
Call the Doctors office to be sure - you don't want to mess around with strep throat, it can incentive lots of other problems.

If you do not have strep then you probably enjoy a virus and antibiotics ONLY work for bacterial infections like strep. So the doctor gave you a prescription too quick. They should enjoy waited. Your mom is correct. She yelled at you because you got propose with her too.And yes doctors prescribe high dose ibuprofen (advil) and you can just bear extra regular advil pills instead of paying for the prescription ones. Like 4 pills would equal 1 big prescription advil pill. So just take some pain reliever and rest and drink hose down and iced tea, etc (drink stuff with low to no sugar). And make sure you still brush your teeth.

Did they swab the back of your throat? If they did, it could be that they thought you have strep, but the swab test came back cynical. Just call your doc's office and ask them if they found out if you had strep or not. If you do enjoy it, you absolutely need to take the amoxicillin to cure it. If you don't enjoy it, you may be able to just take some ibuprofen to assassinate the pain and the infection could go away on its own.Your mom may be lying to you; she may have arrived at the pharmacy belated (they close early; especially since today is Friday). You should never trust anyone else but your doctor to give you results. Call your doctor to confirm. If you were prescribed anti-biotics, you need them for your health and sanctuary. Infections can get worse; you need to get a hold of the doctor.
