I've already read a ton but I need some practical answers about wormwood...?

My mother go through two bottles of wormwood per week, usually more. This is a conservative estimate to give her the benefit of the doubt.

She puts 6 dropperfuls in every diet coke she drinks..and she go through about 12 cokes a day if that help.

The ingredient listed on the bottles she buys is 'artimisia absinthium' if that helps. It's a pretty big bottle..it's 55.00 every time she buys it

This stated, uhh..why hasn't this stuff kill her yet?

Answer:    I liked herbgirls answer, freshly wanted to add something to that. If she is have restless sleeps that would be one of the effect of using wormwood. It makes you dream more and be more of a day dreamer too..
Honestly, I'm wondering the apology why she's taking it in such large quantity as there's some caution with this herb. In standard, Artemisia absinthium is used to stimulate sluggish digestion. It get's the digestive juices flowing. It also helps the liver and the nerve bladder but not to be taken if one has kidney, liver or gall bladder diseases or ailments. One of it's prevalent functions is to help clean out intestinal lice, but only taken for a short period of time.

Even though I'm an herbalist this is one herb I don't manage for unless it's for a specific condition. To date, I've only taken this herb for parasites .

Artemesia contains thujone grease which is toxic if taken in excess. It can induce vomiting and intestinal convulsions. There seems to be products on the bazaar where the thujone has be extracted out of it. Maybe that's what your mom is taking.

i would concerned about all the diet coke she's drinking. that stuff is riddled near toxic chemicals as well. do a search on aspartame or artificial sweetners they use within these products. these are linked to cancers and other condition problems. tell her to drink water instead. doubt she would but if she requests to live it could be a good start. wow wormwood is a neurotoxin! I would be really careful...

Honestly I don't know. I basically looked up wormwood and it's the herb to make absinthe. She's lucky I guess. The point that everyone seems to be missing contained by their responses is that absinthe is an alcoholic spirit. If your mother has a *past* history, she is has basically found a way in her mind to verbs her habit. Since traditionally, absinthe is served diluted with dampen, she is diluting hers with coke, and she is using her warped reasoning to convince others that this is for nutritional and parisital cleansing.

As for your closing question.the body is absolutely amazing. She is still an alcoholic, dying in a minute from leukemia. Her body is shutting down slowly but surely. If you can, you really need to talk to someone something like getting her affairs in order -- dune accounts, personal possessions, etc. Talk to her doctors who are supervising her cancer treatments and tell them your concerns. Also, talk to the herbalist specifically supplying her. If this herbalist is of good and sound nouns, they will stop supplying her. Just think how far $400 a month will go to back pay for proper medical treatment....
In the old days Artemesia absinthum or wormwood be used to make Absinthe which was a extraordinarily powerful French drink. So powerful it could drive you crazy or make you blind so they banned it. Tastes a bit resembling Pernod..

It has been said that Van Gogh, the prominent artist, cut off his left ear whilst below the influence of Absinthe. He had hallucinations, frequent nightmares and period of apparent madness. He be also a manic depressive.

Wormwood, in small amounts and used only for a couple of weeks at a time, is accurate for digestion and gets rid of all forms of worms and bedbugs. Hulda Clark, a person who is known for her cures for cancer, maintain that cancers are all cause by parasites in our bodies. She recommend the use of both wormwood and black walnut in her regimen for parasite removal as well as an electronic zapper to shoot the cancer.

When taken for long periods, wormwood can:

*Depress the Central Nervous System
*Increase stomach acidity
*Cause mind-altering change that can lead to psychosis.
*The main constituent of wormwood - thujone - is remarkably addictive.
*Large amounts of thujone is toxic to the CNS.
*Wormwood can cause insomnia, convulsions, vomitting, stupor and trembling.

Sounds like your mother is overdosing on colossal amounts of Wormwood tincture which will be very strong indeed.

Best get her to stop using it since it have a very bad affect on the liver and easily upset system when used for long periods.
