Looking for a Natural Sleep Remedy. Tylenol PM doesn't help/Melatonin did nought. Want to stay inborn?

Answers:    Ah, tricky problem! OK, that's what I have done on one occasion:
Try winding down back going to sleep, say 1-2 hours before. Some mild yoga exercises are helpful. Soak yourself contained by the tub for 30 minutes (add 2-3 drops of lavender oil). This 'ritual" may help... Then put on your pillow 1-2 drops lavender essential oil and sniff it. It helps really!
You can use a massge grease with lavender, ylang-ylang and frankinsence oils.
Also, there is a Chinese formula call Suan Zao Ren Tang, but a qualified practitioner of Chinese medicine should give that to you.
Consider what user Katie H states too...
Sweet dreams!

Sweating problem please relieve! home remedies?

Passionflower tea is wonderful if you don't like taking pills. Its out of danger enough for babies (of course in smaller dose). Its non toxic and the worst thing it can do is inflict stomach upset in large amounts, and what doesn't? It creates natural serotonin that help you fall asleep without a hangover effect afterward. It depresses the motor responses of the nervous system. Its non addictive and taste good. To make any medicinal tea, add one or two tea heaps to a cup, cover it to keep any chemical constituents from escaping through the steam. Steap it for 10-20 minutes.

Valerian is good. Can be taken in pill or tincture form. It works resembling halcion (a sleeping medication). 300 to 500mg taken 1 hour before bed. It doesn't have any hangover effect and is non-addictive. It works by increasing vascular circulation, relaxing your nervous system and muscles. Don't help yourself to over 600mg or it can cause grogginess in the morning.

If you have suffered from alcoholism or depression at any point within your life DO NOT take hops. If you do not have any of these, hops is one of the strongest natural remedies for sleep and will produce it when nothing else will. NyQuil & Advil??

I personally use Valerian root, which is a natural product, non-habit forming and no side-effects. Also, there;s another homeopathic product call "Calms" which is used for a mild relaxant, as well as a natural treatment for some forms of insomnia. Like Valerian root, it's natural and risk-free. Check out the health food stores or naturopathic/homeopathic clinics for these products.

Opiate withdrawl? using opiates 4 times after..

Try Valerian root. It's homeopathic and works miracles. If that doesn't work, warm milk at bedtime, no tv and no computer an hour prior to bedtime. Find something relaxing to do like reading a book or listen to soft music. I have a radio that will play nature sounds and sometimes that helps also.

There are a few things you can do:

- if you study TV in the evening, watch something that is tranquil or neutral. People are not aware that programs containing a lot of action inflict 'flight or fight' reaction within the body- TV is a great hypnotist, seriously. When the adrenals get going, and the brain is stimulated past bedtime, you'll end up sleepless.
- exercising is not good within 2-3 hrs until that time bedtime.
- fizzy drinks, caffeine, black tea, green tea, sugary stuff, processed food (often laden with sugar and salt) can keep you awake.
- not spending time outdoors alters your circadian cycle.

What you can try to assist you relax:
- listen to a relaxing audio recording before bedtime.
- Valerian or Valerian- Hops tincture by Bioforce is a nice aid for inducing sleep.
- herbs such as chamomile and melissa may relief to relax.
- Viridian company manufactures good quality magnesium which is a untaught relaxant- magnesium is needed for many other functions in the body, and often we don't obtain enough magnesium.

If you have had serious sleeping problems for a while very soon, visit a doctor or a professional practitioner, e.g. a homeopath who can give you a natural formula to give a hand you to sleep.

Wishing you well,
