Naked Acupunture? Very nervous and cold? --pls read?
today be my first time going to acupuncture. for some reason I feel better...but perchance its the placebo effect?
I had to take of adjectives my clothes besides bra and underwear. It was sooo awkward. I hate getting undressed infront of anyone I am so freaking shy and humiliated. It was so weird.
It be a male dr (Im female). the acupuncture hurt?
He did it for anxiety, depression and weight loss--the acupuncture. not lone that but I was so nervous and anxious and newly...it was hell.
Have you done acupuncture before? be it this scary and awkward? Did it work?
Answer: Hey I done acupuncture on my self and I do acupuncture in my patients. I don't know what really happen in your case but in general if you don't need to take out your clothes we don't permit you do it. The first thing you have to do is #1 where on earth the needles where insert? because if you got needles surrounded by the legs and arms why did you need to remove your clothes? but if the needles where within the area that you have clothes after you either have remove it.

I have have acupuncture done lots of times
but I was NEVER naked or freshly laying there within my bra and panties.
the Doc that I get it done by
has comfy shirts and pant
they have closing on the sides
so he does one part and afterwards goes to another
so you are covered and warm
I asked him why and he said if you are concerned
it does not work as well.
what they are doing is getting your brain to release chemicals and it is the chemicals that help
by giving you the needles at unmistaken spots
they are directing where these chemicals are going
if you like this "doc" and suggest that he can help
talk to him going on for it.
let him know how you feel and subsequent time ware comfy cloths
that can be moved easily.
if he does not give you the answers you want
dance to some one else

I've had acupuncture many times and from sundry people. They all have me in a hospital-type gown with my bra and panties kept on. It be fine for me. I'm not sure how they could get needles in secure places, lower back, knees calves etc if you were dressed.
Maybe his bedside attitude was not that comforting for you or, as it was your first time, it sounds similar to you were nervous.
He should own stepped out of the room for you to undress. the ACT of undressing is very personal.
Regardless of adjectives of the above you obviously weren't comfortable and should try a female Dr subsequent time. And make sure they have heat in the room. My acupuncturist does. Acupuncture is amazing and can help within many ways.
