Question nearly prescriptions?

I'm currently prescribed Sprintec (generic birth control). I have 4 more months before that runs out and I need another prescription. I no longer see the doctor that prescribed it because I moved. I already own a new doctor in this area. I want to see roughly speaking getting prescribed another type of birth control. My question is: Can all of this be done over the phone or will I have to set up an appt? I have to set up an appt just to do a "new patient" thing...and the insurance company thought I be going in for my yearly exam and since I had already be this year they didn't cover it and I had to pay like $200+ newly to talk to the doctor about myself for 10 minutes. I don't want that to happen again because it's still be less than a year from my yearly. (Also a question inside a question...would the insurance company count my actual first exam as the date to go from for the yearly...or the one that I merely talked to the doctor?...just so I know when to go stern to the doctor).
Any help would be great, thanks in finance.
Answers:    You have about 4 months before you requirement your yearly exam, correct? Then it should not be too much an issue for you to call the doctor and ask to have your pills switched. Of course, your up to date doctor will most likely only prescribe 4 months and then you'll enjoy to go back for your yearly exam. However, I do suggest making an appointment so you can discuss near him/her about why you want to switch and to which pill would be best.

As for your insurance company, you need to call them and do doesn`t matter what you can to get everything sorted out. Otherwise you may be charged and additional $200+ for your next exam! Be RUTHLESS when dealing next to your insurance company. Do not let anything slide by and call a few times, AFTER everything is sorted out, just to trademark SURE everything was sorted out. Seriously, I work at a doctors office and have to matter with insurance companies on a daily basis. They are grisly to work with and nothing ever gets done right the first time around.

If you hold already seen the doctor, and she knows your history, you should have no problem getting a prescription, over the phone. If not, you made a poor choice of doctors. Also, your doctor should own been able to find a justification that would own satisfied your insurance company. Most insurance rejects are billing errors, not something you did wrong. Did insurance cover any part of the visit? Have them resubmit. Next time, variety up a reason for the visit like impressive spotting or unusual cramping.
