Sleeping pills?

I am 15 and sometimes I have to stay up late to finish homework. Anyway what i want is a sleeping pill or an alternative that I can use only on the night i have trouble falling asleep. I want something that is not meant to keep hold of me asleep, but just make me sleep (if i only enjoy a 3 hours to sleep i don't want to be out for 8). Over the counter only.
Answers:    There are two herbal supplements you can try - Valerian and/or Kava Kava. Both are herbs that are natural and backing you relax and fall asleep. You can buy it in capsules, and sometimes you can also find it contained by a tea form. Chamomile tea is also good for sleep. Valerian can be kind of strong smelling sometimes, just to alert you. But it does work.

You can also try a supplement called Melatonin. Melatonin is a substance that is naturally produced by our body. It is not dependence forming (unlike traditional sleeping pills) and works good. Just one or two tablets will help you sleep. I have used it for several years. It's relatively jammy to find in a store that sells a wide mixture of vitamins and such. Even if you take only one over the counter sleeping aid, instead of the recommended two, you'll be out for at most minuscule 7 hours. If you force yourself to get up after three hours, you will be so out of it and groggy, you won't be able to function. Then you start drinking caffeine to wake up, pills again to slop asleep and before you know it, you've started a bad habit. Not to nag, but do you homework ahead of time and get more sleep, or sooner or later, it's gonna catch up to you and you'll burn out.

You can try Valerian Root. You will not feel droggy in the morning. It is cheap and risk-free.
