Assuming you don't own a cat, and you save your windows open when using citrus trim extract products, get rid of fleas in your house by wash floors twice a week with a solution of 1/4 cup citrus peel extract (available contained by health food stores—citra solve is one brand) in 1 to 2 gallons of marine. Spray bedding with a mixture of 2 teaspoons citrus peel extract and 2 cups of wet in a spray bottle. To make a fur rub for the dog, cut up 4 lemons, and simmer for one hour surrounded by 1 quart of water, adding more wet as it evaporates. Cool the mixture, strain, and massage into the dog's coat.
Herbal repellents work well to repel fleas. Make an herbal infusion by accumulation a handful of dried herbs (available in most form food stores) to a tea pot and fill with boiling hose. Let the "tea" set overnight, and then strain it into a spray bottle. Recommended herbs include southernwood, rue, rosemary, sage, catmint, eucalyptus, and leaves from the black walnut tree. Start near just a small amount to make sure the pet can tolerate the herb.
Boric acerbic and borax are also widely used against fleas. Sprinkle a thin powder or boric acid or borax on carpet, leave on for a few days, and then vacuum up.
As for purchasing Essential Oils, you catch what you pay for. If you want cheap products and you are on a budget, use the NOW brand. NOW brand, for the quality of product they volunteer, is extremely overpriced. The only reason shop owners volunteer it is because the shop owners can mark up the product extremely high, donate you a discount (WOW, what a deal!), and still make over 100% profit. Then you wonder what you did wrong when the product didn't work. I know because I've be where you are at. Now, I am a shop owner, and I won't do that to my customers and clients. If you want good aspect EO's, then go to MountainRose Herbs. They bestow good quality products and their oil don't turn rancid or "off" smelling..
I use Now brand too because they are inexpensive. I have a good friend who have her own cosmetic business and pretty much everything she makes has essential oil (EO) in them. She swears the more expensive the oil is, the better trait it is. I know one of the brands she uses is Aura Cacia. When I've compared them, I honestly can't tell the difference.
Any health food store should pass them. I usually buy EO's at Wild Oats and Whole Foods.
