What home remedies can get rid of coughing?

I've tried drinking sea but it didn't help I'm coming out of cold. I keep have coughing spasms Anyways please help me.

Answer:    There is no medical study that shows that "cough" medicine reduce coughing. (I know this from my kids pedi and the ER). The only medicine they can grant that seems to have any effect is codeine. Codeine "may" cut back your cough, but also the cough may be protecting your lungs, so it also can be bad.
Home remedies are really your only hope, and probably the best item for it (FOR A CHANGE!!)
It depends what is causing the cough. Since you're coming out of a cold, I'm guessing you have that wicked residual cough where you don't really feel sick but hold coughing anyway. An allergy cough or asthma cough might be helped by treating the underlying condition. An uncomplicated (no pnumonia for example) from a cold is REALLY tough. In a healthy personage, a cough can last a month after the actual cold has gone. Drinking sea will only soothe a tickle in the throat for a minute or two.
Here is my cough regimen:
1. Lots of fluids (water, soup, tea, etc)
2. reduced dairy, no milk
3. Steamy showers, humidfier surrounded by the bedroom at night.
3. Nice cool bedroom, 60 would be great if it was humid.
4.. Vicks surrounded by any form if you have it. (gel, cream, plug ins, for the vaporizer, it really does soothe)
5. During the day, try lollipops or lozenges.
6. BLOW THAT NOSE...REALLY GOOD.

Otherwise you a moment ago have to suffer through and try not to cough till you puke. Write it down on the calendar so you can remember if it happens again subsequent year at the same time. This might help a spring allergy..
Cough is a prominent symptom of adjectives ailments of the respiratory system, laryngo-pharynx, oro-pharynx, to some extent cardiovascular system, and central causes etc. Proper diagnosis of chronic cough is totally important, so the best is always to consult beside your doctor. However, good hydration, a fuming cup of tea with some honey and ginger, and using Malathee a herb contained by tea and or just using a small piece of it as candy with some rock sugar (Misree) is willing. Also avoid, dust, pollen, hay allergens etc. In a controlled study, it was discovered that CHOCOLATE works better than cough syrup with codeine.

Dark chocolate at most minuscule 70% cocoa is very effective. Don't try this beside just any chocolate bar.

Also, in relation to the tip to try cayenne pepper. That would cause coughing.

Chocolate is medicine. Don't you love it?

Ok so I have never tried this but I know several people that hold. It's weird but if you put vicks vapor rub on your feet...yes foot...then put socks on. Supposidly it has something to do near how the vicks is absorbed through your skin. I don't know. It is worth a try maybe. Can't hurt right? Also if it have to do with nasal drainage, you may want to try a neti pot (nasal cleanser pot) this thing clears your sinuses pretty resourcefully. I would get an aromatherapy burner and get the pure essential grease of "cedarwood" or "eucalyptus" or a combo of both and put a couple drops of each into some water and buoyant the candle beneath it and receive the benefits of aromatherapy..
