What is the best over the counter medicine for sore muscles?

Answer:    It depends on why they're sore.
If it's from inflammation (bruising, etc), then an anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen or Aleve might be your best bet. Depending on why they're sore, icing them next heating them may be your best bet for temporary nouns... but if it was from an injury, that could make it worse.

If it's merely from working them too hard (intense exercise), then using a heat pad or taking a hot bath will be a apposite choice as well... but to prevent it in the adjectives (and to help it stop hurting sooner), try some L-Arginine. It's an Amino Acid that helps beside circulation, so it helps prevent the Lactic Acid from building up in your muscles (which in reality causes sore muscles after a big workout). It'll also help to minimize taking back time after a workout. Good luck!.
A hot bath with two cups of Epsom salt for 30 minutes and 600 mg. ibuprofen. Medicine is not the cure for muscle soreness. Good stretching techniques and ice baths are the best. I know that sounds stupid, but it's the unqualified truth..
you could use lavander oil.. i think epsom brackish baths can help muscles too.
