What is the imperative for satisfying prescriptions for adderall?is it once every 30 days or once every month-same date?
I called the Dr.'s office to get my prescription for adderall. Last time I get it filled was on January 9th, so I would have my end dose on February 7th. The dr. wasn't in the office so the nurse told me that she would predate it for feb. 9th. After figuring it adjectives out I told her that my 30 days would be up on the 7th. She insisted that it didn't matter and that it was the law, saw the prescription was supposed to be written every month on the same date. After telling her that I wouldn't hold enough to cover me till the 9th, she still insisted that was the law. My Dr. have given me my prescription sometimes 3 or even 4 days ahead of the 30 day mark. Does anyone know the law for this sort of drug? Is it once every 30 days not matter if the 30 day mark falls on the exact day of the subsequent month? I hope someone can answer me b/c I have searched everywhere and nothing is clear roughly it. Thank You.
Answers: Each time I have had a problem like this, I call upon my pharmacy and explain the problem. Each time, the pharmacist calls the doctor and gets my prescription refilled.
Pharmacists are so under-appreciated as professionals. Something unrelated but worth keeping surrounded by mind is your pharmacist can better explain how your medications work when you have questions. They are our bridge between us, our medication and our doctors.
