I have watery eyes, ichy nose, and am sneezing somewhat. A few days ago my throat be hurting (I had white dots on my tonsils) but they are not hurting now.Does anyone know what over the counter medicine I should lift? I have been taking Nyquil and it has not help much. I have a wedding to go to surrounded by four days and I don't want to be sick. Thanks.
Answers:    You should go to the doctor. A sore throat with white dots usually indicates strep throat. Strep throat cannot be treated by OTC's! It will eventually go away but not surrounded by four days.

Watery eyes, sneezing & itchy nose sounds like allergies.

Nyquil won't fix any of this. If you insist on treating at home try Tylenol Cold & Sinus day & hours of darkness for the cold symptoms. Benadryl does wonders for allergies.

I still say go to the doctor...

If you hold white spots on your tonsils you need to go the doctor. That is almost always strep and is outstandingly contagious. If you do that now and get an antibiotic you should be better by the wedding. I would also bring the Tylenol Cold or Benedryl for the sinus problems.

the first 3 symptoms sound like allergies take a benadril and see if it help if not then its probably a cold and you should see a doctor to get the best stuff to fray it.
