What form of yoga is best for me?
I want to be more flexible and get muscle tone. ( Did Madonna really get those sexy arms just from doing yoga?) And beside focus on breathing. Theres so many kinds I'm confused.
Answers: Madonna does Ashtanga - which is indeed rather athletic.
There really is no style to suggest a type for someone. I've done a whole lot of them, and even with the same type, you can enjoy two different instructors which make the entire experience different.
Any yoga will make you more flexible. Hatha is a very solid type, iyengar would be in the middle, and ashtanga would be at the other end of the spectrum.
I would suggest that you call around to studios and see if they will consent to you take an introductory class for free or a reduced rate (most places will) to get a feel for what you might close to to do, or, if you plan on practicing at home, try your local library - many have DVD's that can be taken out to give you an model of what you might like.
What does 'chondroma' be a sign of?
Perhaps the brief descriptions of various types of modern Hatha yoga at following site will help:http://www.traditionalyogastudies.com/ar...
A powerfully rounded yoga asana practice develops strength (often through vinyasa, a series of flowing asanas coordinated with the breath), and balance, in increment to flexibility (flexibility is just the 'showy' part that people tend to remember).
There can be like mad of confusion with statements about yoga, mainly due to the practice within the West of using 'yoga' to only refer to the practice of asana (the physical poses).
Asana is actually a small slice of a complete, authentic yoga practice, some which traditionally do not even include the practice of asana (Bhakti yoga, Karma yoga, Jnana yoga).
Generally, all practice of asana falls below the heading of Hatha yoga.
When you see a class described simply as 'Hatha yoga', it generally indicates a generic class which follows no specific contemporary style (such as any of those described at above referenced site).
