Why do I see some people with quarters or pieces of copper taped to their cell phones?
I thought it have something to do with radiation but I have no documentation to support it. Any info beside sources is appreciated.
Answer: I've never seen people beside quarters taped to their phones, but in attendance have been some "gimmicks" sold a while support that are copper-like. One is a little ring that sticks around the earpiece on a cell phone (mostly elder styles) that supposedly blocked or reflected most of the radiation coming from the phone... with how rapidly they stopped being sold, it makes you wonder if they didn't hold enough proof to not get them barred. The other thing was primarily an antenna booster, but that was normally put inside the cell phone and that technology have been incorporated into current cell phone technology.
It's possible that some people may own heard that taping base on their phones might extend the antenna range or something. I've never heard it, but who know what some people might come up with. LOL!.
