Why is using lemon and honey in hot tea good for laryngitis?


everyone other says to add lemons and honey into hot tea to help out get your voice back, but i want to know why. i imagine the honey has to do with coating the throat or something close to that but i dont really understand the benefits of either one, esp lemon. anyone know?
