I discovered the Yogurt treatment after antibiotics failed to resolve a long possession sore throat. A neighbor told me to use yogurt 3 times a day for 3 days. I was feeling like to try anything after two months of throat pain. Morning of the second day, I be getting results. By the 4th day, everything was wager on to normal.
I was told this works because the sore throat is a symptom of stomach problems and the yogurt help put the right balance of the correct bacteria at work again.
I hold used this remedy for 30 years.
The pickle is sure to cause pain. As a remedy, I doubt it.
One entry I used once was sliced ham. The salty ham did minister to the pain some, but recovery be more than a few days. Use the yogurt, it is soothing to the throat.
Be sure to use plain yogurt or flavors that do not include acidy fruits..
The vinegar in the pickle will burn at first, but then in fact alleviate the pain. Yogurt won't make it hurt worse, but if you own congestion and phlegm it's best to stay away from dairy products for a time.
For temporary relief, kind a tea with ordinary kitchen sage - 1/4 teaspoon powder or 1/2 teaspoon total leaves to 1/2 cup of boiling water. Let sit 5 minutes then strain the herb out. Let cool to basically warm & gargle (don't swallow). Kills germs, too.
Frozen blueberries or strawberries make a nice cold snack. Or freeze your favorite fruit liquid and chew the ice..
